Meet Erica Lall, who moved to New York at age 15 to become a professional ballet dancer. We joined her one morning en route to rehearsal and spoke to her about perseverance, the challenges of ballet and the importance of family.

"As a ballet dancer, the work is never done. There's always something more that you can do. There's always something you can improve on. I love ballet because of how challenging it is."

"I love to just kind of leave it all on the stage, whether I fall, whether I twist my ankle a little bit, whether I slip, that's just part of normal life. I want people to see who I really am."
